University of Brigant has renewed and expanded its institutional licensing agreement with Microsoft, guaranteeing that every matriculated learner receives a full Microsoft 365 Enterprise suite licence from day one of enrolment. This entitlement encompasses full desktop and cloud versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams.

Each student account allows installation on up to five separate personal devices—including Windows PCs, Macs, tablets, and smartphones. This enables seamless academic continuity whether students are drafting empirical research papers in Edinburgh or Austin, building dynamic financial models on Excel, or joining live interactive seminar discussions over Microsoft Teams.

The Enterprise tier also provides enterprise-grade data encryption, advanced accessibility features such as real-time speech transcription, and collaborative co-authoring tools that permit distributed research teams across Edinburgh, UK and worldwide online cohorts to collaborate on shared capstones simultaneously.
